My favorite tanks in WoTB are the lights. I like the great agility, good DPM, and good camo stats. So it only made sense that I have found a similar joy in running destroyers in WoWSB: fast and agile, torpedoes that ruin opponents, and good concealment. But I don’t want to pidgeon hole myself only to DDs.
I have enjoyed the climb up the US DD line and I am currently sailing the Farragut. Hopping into a Mahan seems a pretty logical next step.
I have been enthusiastic about the IJN CA line too, but I need to figure out how to take better advantage of the line’s strengths. I am currently sailing the Furutaka. It has great speed - almost as quick as destroyers - but acceleration and agility seems pretty poor. The guns on my elite Furutaka do 650/784 damage (HE and AP respectively) with a 10.67sec reload, and 3940 torp damage. But I would of course have to crawl up the blueprint stairs to elite the Aoba, just so I can get close to my Furutaka’s DPM. Aoba’s stock value for its guns are 600/700 with an 11sec reload, and 3500 torp damage.
So...suggestions? Do I keep climbing the US DD line, or should I suck it up and hone my IJN CA skills?
