I started playing shipblitz a number of months ago. While I have barely touched destroyers or battleships and haven’t yet played an aircraft carrier at all, I have played quite a few battles in cruisers. Unlike tanks I took my time learning my role on the various maps extremely quickly. I like the role of a cruiser operator and in my own mind at least think I’m better than aliquot fulfilling that roll. Then I stumbled upon the Nurnberg. This ship is amazing. I can’t think of anything it could use more of compared to all cruisers I’ve played to this point. At first I figured I was just getting lucky with MM, rng, or whatever the flavor of the day is for blaming when things go bad. Ah, but no, this has nothing to do with luck.in the first three days of running this ship I put on over a hundred battles and had good results. In the short time I’ve owned this ship I’ve exceeded 1600 battles, completing my commander skills and racking up medals, silver and free xp. The Nurnberg is a hunter. Many cruisers are better off playing more of a support roll. Protecting the bigger ships from the fast destroyers. The Nurnberg allows one the ability to go out and look for trouble and be able to do a little dance. Frustrating the enemy to the point that even though your still shooting at it, it may find it easier to start shooting another target altogether. Of all of the medals I’ve accumulated with the Nurnberg I was shocked when I received my very first BigCaliber medal. I wasn’t shocked when I received my second and look forward to the third. Anyone struggling with the Nurnberg should stop and reevaluate before moving forward with cruisers. I’m just now playing a few tier seven cruisers. The New Orleans, Shchirs and Yorck. I’m liking all three so far but none of them have yet provided me with the ability to prowl around the map like the Nurnberg.
